We have been engaged regarding government surveillance and consumer privacy. The Snowden revelations have made surveillance a hot-button issue, particularly for companies competing internationally. In addition, the Federal Trade Commission has taken a leadership role on consumer privacy, entering into decades-long consent decrees with Twitter, Google, and Facebook regarding security and privacy. We offer expert guidance on evolving privacy enforcement practices and policies and advise CEOs and general counsels on these matters, and engage in DC where appropriate.
